Playing seasons and rights at Waahi Taakaro Golf Club
The official (winter) club season is from April 1 to October 31 of each year. During this period the club has exclusive rights to the course from 10.00am to 2.00pm each Saturday, frost permitting. Start sheets are available usually a week in advance to enable players to put their names down and each Thursday the draw will be advertised in the Nelson Mail and on our website. From November 1 to March 31 (summer season) a weekly draw sheet will be available in the clubrooms for a Saturday competition which will be run as normal from 9.00am. A weekly draw will be published in the Nelson Mail and on this website and will be emailed to members. All players must report to the starter 20 minutes prior to the first tee time.
The Women’s and Golden Oldies sections have their own playing days and are Tuesday (Ladies) and Thursday (Oldies). There is a 9-hole competition open to all members on Tuesday afternoon.
