Club results for 31/12/22

Bryan Ramsey and Maurice Woodhouse had an extra reason to celebrate New Year's Eve when they combined to win the match of the day on Saturday.

In hot and breezy conditions off the white tees, they totalled 73 stableford points to comfortably top the field in a drawn partners format.

Bryan - with 38 points -  shot the equal best score of the day, while he received good backing from Maurice who came in with 35 points.

Mike Murphy (35) and Peter Watson (34) claimed second with 69 points, one ahead of Greg Mann (38) and Warwick King (30) in third.

Next were Sali Mann (29) and Garth Jameson (37) on 66. There was a three-way tie for fifth between Rangi Kohe (30) and James Campion (32), Lewis Wilson (33) and Paul Tunnicliff (31) and Jack Denton (30) and Paul McCrae (34) who all totalled 64 points.

Brendan Doyle also finished with 38 points, while James Campion shot the best gross of the day, a 77 playing off a one handicap.

Andy Isle, Andrew Craig, Keri Kotua and Brendan shared the twos money.

Next Saturday (January 7) we play the second round of the Burns Philp Cup, which is a stableford off the blue tees.
