Lewis Wilson showed that last week's win was no flash in the pan with another commanding performance in the second round of the Stubberfield Cup on Saturday (Feb 1).
In stifling summer conditions off the blue tees, Lewis shot a scintillating 66 which - together with just 28 putts - gave him a total score of 94 in the nett plus putts competition.
It was three better than Jim McMullan who finished with a 97 (67 +30) to claim second. Keri Kotua (71+27) and Peter Watson (73+25) tied for third with 98.
Next were Jonathan Tuheke (74+27) and Paul McCrae (70+31) on 101 followed by Paul Tunnicliff (74+31) on 105 and the trio of Terry Hemi (76+31), Maurice Woodhouse (78+29) and Steve Russell (78+29) on 107 who rounded off the top 10.
Keri Kotua and Rangi Kohe shared the twos money.
There are another two rounds of the Stubberfield Cup, with the best three of four counting.
Next week (Feb 8) is the fourth and final round of the Burns Philp stableford competition.
