Club results for February 15, 2020

Steve Russell bounced back to form to win the third round of the Stubberfield Cup on Saturday (Feb 15) in balmy summer conditions.

After showing good signs at business house in Nelson on Wednesday, he put it all together to score a nett 66 (80 off the stick), which included an excellent inward 37 and birdie on No 15. 

Together with 30 putt, he totalled 96 in the nett plus putts competition to finish two ahead of Paul Tunnicliff (68 + 30). Third was Paul McCrae (71+29) just ahead of Dave Huntley (67+33) on countback after both totalled 100. Paul scored the only two of the day to scoop the pot.

Next were Andrew Craig (68+33) and Tom Weiss (70+31) on 101. They were followed by Warwick King (71+31) on 102 and Warren Carey (70+33) on 103. 

Making up the the top 10 were Jim McMullan (69+35), Bryan Ramsey (71+33) and Jack Denton (73+31) on 104.

Next week (Feb 22) is the Worley Trophy, a nett competition for those over 55 which will be played off the white tees.
