Fourth for Old Hickory team

Our Old Hickory team finished fourth in the latest round of the inter-club competition played at Totaradale on Thursday, July 5.

Pat Melville again led from the front with 36 stableford points. He was well supported by Maurice Woodhouse  (35 points) and Alan Muir (34 points). Elton Netto was other counting score with 30 points. Paul Tunnifcliffe (28 points) and Jack Denton (25 points) had days to forget. 

Totaradale made good use of their home advantage in cold and calm conditions to romped to victory with a total of 153 points. Takaka secured second place with 140 points followed by Motueka (138 points), Waahi Taakaro (135 points), Greenacres (132 points) and Tasman (127 points). Nelson was again awarded the popgun after collecting a miserable 116 points.

The next round is at Nelson on August 2.
