Andrew Dean is the winner of this year's Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy after a solid last round.

Playing off a 15 handicap for the back nine, he posted a net 38 in the winter sunshine to secure the silverware. Played over six 9-hole rounds with the best four counting, Andrew totalled a winning score of 141.

Thanks to a couple of excellent putts, Graham Strickett won the final round with a net 35.

There was a three-way tie for second between Bryan Ramsey, Neil Howard and Trevor Atkinson who all carded 36s.

Next were Maurice Woodhouse and Paul McCrae with 37 apiece, with Maurice taking home a good payout for scoring the only twos of the day, on No 11 and 14.

They were followed by David Harman and Andrew Dean on 38 each and Heather Carey and Peter Watson on 39.

The hidden hole was not struck.

Next Thursday (July 18) the Golden Oldies play another round of the Worley Trophy, which is a par round off the back nine.
