Golden Oldies results for 12/12/24

John Dixon showed you can still play good golf in your eighties by taking full advantage of the dry summer conditions on Thursday (Dec 12) to win the match of the day.

His 24 stableford points playing off a 13 handicap for the back nine took the honours on a day of good scoring.

Second on 23 points were Andrew Dean, whose purple patch just keeps on running, and Dick Carter.

The quartet of Jim McMullan, Noel Shaw, Jack Denton and Mark Sherlaw was next on 21. They were followed by the trio of Ray Hopgood, Michael Doyle and Barry Rhodes on 20.

There were no twos and the hidden hole was not struck.

Next Thursday (Dec 19) the Golden Oldies play the final round of the Worley Cup which is an Irish stableford off the back nine.
