Golden Oldies results for 13/3/25

Two of the older Golden Oldies showed yet again that golf is a game for all ages, with Michael Doyle and Trevor Atkinson sharing the limelight on Thursday (March13).

Playing the second round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy - which was a net round off the back nine - Michael and Trevor posted 34 each to head the match of the day which was sponsored by Simplicity Funerals. Michael was playing off an 18 handicap for nine holes and Trevor a 25 handicap.

Lloyd Moyle finished alone in third with a 35 and Dick Carter was fourth on 36.

Next were the quartet of Noel Shaw, Ray Hopgood, Warren Green and Jim McMullan on 37.

The only two of the day went to Peter Watson who rattled in a long putt on No 14. The hidden hole was not struck.

Next Thursday (March 20) the Golden Oldies play the third round of the Worley Trophy, which is a stableford round off the back nine.
