Club president Paul Tunnicliff handled the heavy conditions best to win the Golden Oldies match of the day on Thursday (June 1).
Playing consistently, his net 35 plus 14 putts for a total of 49 saw him head the field by two shots.
Andrew Dean (35 + 16) finished second on 51 and he scored the added bonus of winning the hidden hole.
Brendan Doyle (39 + 13) – helped by a two – shared third with Trevor Atkinson (36 + 16) after each totalled 52.
Fifth was Maurice Woodhouse (37 + 16) on 53.
Graham Galt shared the twos money with Brendan.
This Thursday (June 8) the Golden Oldies play the fifth round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy, which is a net round off the front 9.
