It was Andrew Dean's day to shine on Thursday (Nov 17) as he won the latest round of the season-long Worley Trophy.

The 33-handicapper shot an eye-catching net 30 and had just 14 putts to total 44 in the net plus putts competition. This was two better than Michael Doyle (32+14) and Grant Fergusson (34+12) who shared second. Next was Ian Hanford (33+15) on 48. He was followed by the quartet of Neil Howard (32+17), Bryan Ramsey (34+15), Warren Carey (34+15) and Paul McCrae (34+15) on 49. The trio of Paul Tunnicliff (34+16), Stuart Hurst (37+13) and Roma Elkington (37+13) rounded out the top eleven.

There were no twos scored, despite the calm conditions and improving greens, nor was the hidden hole struck.

Next week (Nov 24) is the second round of the Langley Trophy, which is a par round off the back nine.
