Tom Weiss was one of the first in with a good score and then had a nervous wait to confirm that he had won the match of the day.

On a heavily overcast day where the rain threatened but stayed away, the 24.5 handicapper fashioned a highly competitive +2 score for the back nine which in the end proved just good enough to take the honours.

His good mate Paul McCrae, Warren Green and Brian Clinton all finished at +1 to share second.

Next were Jim McMullan and our ultra veteran Errol Guthardt who each came home in a respectable 0.

They were followed by Noel Shaw (-1) and the quartet of Michael Doyle, John dixon, Roger Wilson and Ray Hopgood on -2.

Jack Denton had a collect with the only two of the day, while the hidden hole was not struck.
