Golden Oldies results for 22/9/22

There was a three-way tie at the top in the second round of the Laurie Ashby Trophy played on Thursday.

On a day that got progressively better, Andrew Dean, Paul Tunnicliff and Ian Hanford all came home with 18 stableford points after playing a modified back nine.

Neil Howard and Mick Leggett shared second with 17 points each, while Phil Sellers finished a point back with 16.

Next were John Shaw, Warwick King and Terry Kelson on 15 points.

Richard Pearson - who had an otherwise forgettable round - walked away with a decent payout after claiming the hidden hole after parring No 4.

Competition numbers continue to grow as the flood clean-up makes progress. We hope to have an eighth hole back in play in a week or so.

On Saturday (Sept 24) is the club's AGM which starts at 9am in the clubhouse which we urge members to attend.
