Golden Oldies results for 25/1/24

Maurice Woodhouse rediscovered some form on Thursday in winning the Golden Oldies match of the day.

After a difficult few months, he put a good round together to total 37 points for the back nine in the Irish stableford format.

He shot 43 off the stick in calm conditions to play to his handicap. It was just good enough to hold off Ivan Guy and John Shaw who both finished with 36 points to tie for second.

Noel Shaw, Warren Green and Bryan Ramsey all came in with 35 points to tie for fourth.

They were followed by the foursome of Jim McMullan, Paul McCrae, Andrew Dean and Neil Howard who each tallied 33 points.

There were no twos and the hidden hole was not struck.

Next week the Golden Oldies play a par round off the back round on Wednesday (Jan 31) because we are hosting the Old Hickory on Thursday.
