Golden Oldies results for 5/12/24

The weather was hot and so was some of the golf, although others wilted as the temperature soared.

Grant Fergusson and Trevor Atkinson were a cut above the rest of the field, both recording net 32 for the back nine to share the honours.

Richard Pearson and Jim McMullan finished tied for third after posting tidy 35s, while a group of five comprising Paul McCrae, Gordon Combe, Ray Hopgood, Tom Kennedy and Andrew Dean played to their handicaps in shooting 36 each.

There were no twos and the hidden hole was not struck.

Next week (Dec 12) the Golden Oldies tee off at the earlier time of 9am so they can get to their Christmas lunch at Smugglers in Stoke which will double as the annual prizegiving. They will play a stableford round off the back nine.
