Golden Oldies results for March 10, 2022

There wasn't much elbow room at the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy on Thursday, with five sharing the honours.

Paul McCrae, Barry Mitchell, Neil Howard, John Gibbons and Robbie Dellow all shot a net 33 off the back nine in ideal conditions to advance their hopes in the six-round competition.

Noel Shaw and Trevor Atkinson were only a shot back with matching 34s, while Paul Tunnicliff and Brian Clinton both came home in 35.

Another six  - John Dixon, Mike Murphy, John Shaw, Michael Doyle, Errol Guthardt and Ray Blommaart - finished on 36 on a day of good scoring, although no-one in the field of 31 managed a two.

Next Thursday (March 17) is an Irish stableford off the back nine.
