Golden Oldies results for May 26, 2022

Paul Tunnicliff earned bragging rights over his good friend and former Waahi Taakaro club member Elton Netto and the rest of the Golden Oldies field on Thursday in winning the match of the day, a par round off the back nine.

In cold conditions, he drove and putted well to come home with a tidy +2 to be the best of 30 golfers who teed it up.

There was a four-way tie for second, with Elton (Totaradale), Phil Sellers, Jack Denton and Warren Green all finishing with 0.

There was another four-way tie for third between Mick Leggett, Ian Hanford, Ray Blommaart and Brian Clinton who each recorded –1.

Phil and Warren shared the twos spoils.

Next Thursday (June 2) the Golden Oldies play a net plus putts round off the front 9. The same day our Old Hickory team of Ian Hanford, Phil Sellers, Tom Kennedy, Warren Carey, Graham Strickett and Barry Rhodes plays at Greenacres.
