Melville wins Laurie Ashby Trophy

Pat Melville added his name to the Laurie Ashby Trophy with a narrow win on Thursday (June 13) in the 9-hole stableford competition played over three rounds by the Golden Oldies.

With the best two of three rounds counting, Pat's total of 42 points was one better than Terry Hemi (41).

In third place was Bryan Ramsey on 39 points. He was followed by Richard Pearson (38) and Rod Thomason (37).

Thirty-one golfers entered the competition, but only 18 played two or more rounds.
