Our Old Hickory team finished in the middle of the pack in the latest round of the inter-club competition at Totaradale on Thursday.

Led by 35 stableford points from captain Ian Hanford, we finished fourth with a total of 124 points. Our other scorers were Barry Rhodes (31), Phil Sellers (30) and Graham Strickett (28), while Bryan Ramsey (27) and Mike Murphy (23) failed to fire. Phil was just one of two golfers to record a two on what was another good day for golf.

The home team used their local knowledge to good effect in winning with a total of 141 points. Motueka claimed second with 135 points and Nelson (130) came third.

Waahi Taakaro was followed by Greenacres (122) and Tasman (116), while Takaka got the popgun with a dismal 109 points.

S Cosmo (Totaradale) and R Knight (Nelson) topped the individual scoring with 38 points each. They were two of just five players to score 36 points or more.
