Hello Everyone

Sorry if there was a bit of confusion last Saturday with the start time, it appears that a few members did not get the email from the pro-shop. We are starting tee off at 9.00 am for the summer months, nice an early so you have most of the day to do something else !!.

If you have not been receiving emails from either the club or via the pro-shop, please advise Gordon so that he can sort it out, it is a bit pointless saying you did not receive it because you have changed your email address etc and have not advised the club of the change

Pat Melville our President is keen for some volunteers to help split up the wood pile by the practice nets. He will advise a date and look for some help so we can get it tidied up etc

Congrats to our Champion of Champion team consisting of Keri Kotua, Bryce Vincent & Dave Huntley who played Sunday the 03.12.17 at Murchison, they finished runner- up to Totaradale in the overall club nett score of 309 , Totaradale had 305, Keri also finished pretty high in the senior grade but I don't have details of where.

Righty Ho, Saturday's golf teeing off at 9.00 am will be an American Stableford off the Blue Tees. A draw will be made up on the day. Starter - S Russell, Cards - K Kotua & G Halkett / J Tuheke (depends who is there), Raffle - W King

An American Stableford is played the following way,  you play off scratch, so no shot holes or handicap

You score 5 pts for an eagle, 4 pts for a birdie, 3 pts for a Par, 2 pts for a bogey, 1 pt for a double bogey, o pts for worse than a double bogey. Then your total points for the round are tallied and you then add your handicap eg : if your total points are 42 and your handicap is 10, add the two together = 52 pts and this is your score.

Happy golfing, Rob Willems
