Tough day for Old Hickory team

Our Old Hickory team found the going tough at Takaka in the latest round of the inter-club competition.

Played last Thursday (Nov 1), we finished fifth.

Greenacres topped the standings with a total of 147 stableford points, followed by Takaka  (140), Totaradale (135), Tasman (134), Waahi Taakaro (133) and Nelson (128). Motueka finished last on 127 points to claim the popgun.

None of our team managed to play to their handicap, with Tom Kennedy the best with 35 stableford points. Richard Pearson and Elton Netto were next on 33 points, followed by Jack Denton and Alan Muir on 32 points and Paul Tunicliff with 29 points.

The final round of the year is at Greenacres on December 6.
