Old Hickory finishes fourth

Our Old Hickory team finished a close fourth in the latest round of the inter-club competition at Greenacres on Thursday (Sept 9).

Led by an excellent 38 stableford points from Mike Murphy we totalled a worthy 131 points. Other contributors were Ian Hanford (32), Phil Sellers (31) and Tom Kennedy (30), while Richard Pearson and Barry Rhodes had days to forget.

In a close contest our team score was only good enough for fourth, with Nelson taking the honours with 139 points and Tasman the popgun with just 117 points.

The next round is on October 7 at Takaka.
