It was the Andrew and Phil show at the Golden Oldies annual prizegiving on Thursday (Dec 12).
Andrew Dean won all but one of the five trophies played for during the season, while Phil Sellers shared one with Andrew and won the other.
In a stellar season, Andrew - who currently plays off a handicap index of 30.9 - took home the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy ( a net competition played over five rounds), the Laurie Ashby Cup ( a stableford competition played over three rounds) and the Guthardt Cup (a matchplay competition where he defeated Ian Hanford in the recently played final). He and Phil won the Langley Trophy, which is a par competition over two rounds with drawn partners.
Phil dominated the season-long Worley Trophy, winning with a round to spare after building an unassailable lead.
Congratulations gentlemen on a great year of golf.
