Barron joins his rep teammates

Craig Barron has been selected for the Nelson Intermediate Representatives, bringing to four the number of Waahi Taakaro players in the eight-man team.

Craig - who had an outstanding Sloan Trophy season for our club, winning five of his six matches - will make his debut in the second Tasman Quadrangular tournament at Greenacres on September 19-20. He was a non-travelling reserve for the first Quadrangular which Nelson won last month at Marlborough Golf Club against opposition from a Nelson Invitational team, Marlborough and West Coast.

He will join teammates James Campion, Pete Green and Keri Kotua who all performed strongly in the first Quadrangular. It follows Waahi Taakaro finishing fourth in the Sloan with a four win, three draw and one loss record after leading for much of the competition.
