In the match of the day - stableford played off the white tees - Peter Watson won on countback with 41 points from Geoff Halkett who also scored 41 points.

There were twos aplenty, with Terry Hemi getting two and taking home a healthy jackpot, while Rob Willems, Andrew Fenemor, Gordon Davidson and Rod Thomason also grabbed one each.

But the round of the day went to a visitor - PGA pro Nick Loach, who works for Total Golf and coaches in between playing the Charles tour where he has enjoyed some success this year. Nick, who is the fourth ranked player in Tasman and plays off a +1.5, went round in 68 which included five birdies.

Nick is keen to play Waahi Taakaro regularly and is available for coaching, so get in touch with him if you are keen to improve your game.

The next round of the Brebde Senior/Junior is on Saturday May 12.
