Terry Hemi can thank his senior partner Alan Muir for the pair prevailing in this year's Cap-it-all Promotions Trophy.
Played over two rounds - the first a four-ball best ball and the second an individual nett round - Muir and Hemi came from a shot back on the first day to secure a two-shot win in the first major competition of the 2018 club season.
A last-minute pairing, they opened with a solid 67 on the first day but relied on Muir's equal best nett 69 on the second day to grabbed the win. Hemi backed his partner up with useful nett 73.
The competition attracted a good field of almost 30 players.
Final results were:
1st Alan Muir/Terry Hemi 67+69+73 = 209.
2nd equal Bryan Ramsey/Rod Thomason. 66+72+73 = 211
2nd equal Steve Russell/Rob Willems 66+71+74 =211
4th equal Keri Kotua/Jonathan Tuheke 66+75+72 = 213
4th equal Phil Sellers/Mike.Murphy 69+70+74 =213
6th Gordon.Davidson/PaulTunnicliff 68+78+69 =215
