Club results for 15/7/23

It may not have been pretty but it was effective as Maurice Woodhouse won the fourth round of the Barkman Trophy and MS Ford Shootout on Saturday.

The 16-handicapper fashioned a net 73 off the white tees while most of his fellow golfers struggled to make much headway despite the sun on their backs.

Dean Goodman was the next best with a 74 after carding the equal best gross of the day, a 79, along with Pete Green.

Peter Watson pipped Lindsay Brooks for third on countback after each carded a 75.

They were followed by Pete G and Andy Isle with 76s, Chris Louth and Warren Carey with 77 apiece and Jonathan Tuheke with a 78 on a day of generally high scoring despite the balmy overhead condtions.

Jono, Lindsay and Mike Williams shared the twos money, while Maurice won the draw for the Davidson Trophy.

Lloyd Moyle once again topped the 9-holers with a tidy 18 stableford points off the front nine, with Ali Mawby claiming a creditable second with 16 points, just ahead of Phil Sellers (15).

The two Peters and Dean make the early running in the MS Ford Shootout, with a scheduled nine more rounds to play.
