With the NBS club champs taking centre-stage, Mick Leggett starred in the sideshow on Saturday for those not involved in the main event.
The 29-handicapper fired a tidy net 70 off the blue tees to take match of the day honours.
Phil Sellers pipped Warren Carey - who had won the Junior B title on Thursday - for second on countback after both shot 71 in ideal conditions.
Bryan Ramsey returned to form with 72 for fourth, while Peter Watson and Jim McMullan rounded off the top six with 75 apiece.
The ultra-consistent Paul McCrae was again the best of the 9-holers with +3 in the par format off the back nine.
The twos money was shared by James Campion, Bryce Vincent and Keri Kotua.
Next Saturday (Oct 28) we play a stableford round off the white tees, while the 9-holers play a stableford off the front nine. Also, over the weekend we have two four-man teams taking part in the Country Clubs tournament at Takaka, Good luck guys.
