Club results for 27/12/25

Sometimes less is more as Andrew Craig showed in style to win the annual Three-Club Challenge on Saturday (Dec 27).

Armed with something less than a driver, a short iron and a putter, Andrew plotted his way round the course to post an outstanding net 70  to win in a canter.

Playing off a 23 handicap, he shot a 93 off the white tees on a course now showing plenty of summer run.

Duncan Isle secured second on countback from Gareth Edwards after both carded net 75.

Next were Bryan Ramsey and Jack Denton on 76, with James Campion completing the top six with a 77.

No-one managed a two.

Daniel Allen headed the nine-holers with a net 34 playing off the back nine. Warren Green finished second on 35, while John Dixon and Paul Tunnicliff filled the minor spots with 36 each.

Again, no-one scored a two, although Paul went very close to eagling No 17.

Next Saturday (Jan 3) we play the third round of the Burns Philp Cup, which is a stableford round off the white tees starting at 9am. The nine-holers play a net round off the front nine starting at 11am.
