Club results for 7/3/26

Dave Huntley was top dog in the latest Saturday match of the day, an Irish stableford played off the blue tees.

Playing off a 24 handicap, Dave shot a steady 95 off the stick for 76 points to win on countback from Duncan Isle who posted a 99 for the same number of points.

Next were Roma Elkington (72) and Bryan Ramsey (71).

Andrew Dodson (70) was fifth, with his score boosted by the only two of the day at No 2. His tee shot to within 4 feet of the flag was also the closest to the pin on that hole.

Only a small field teed off in ideal conditions, with a big contingent of Waahi Taakaro golfers taking a break after competing in the West Coast four-course challenge with some success earlier in the week.

Next Saturday (March 14) the 18-holers play the fourth and final round of the Stubberfield Cup, a net plus putts round off the blue tees, while the 9-holers play a net round off the back nine.
