Club results for December 22, 2018

Maurice Woodhouse and Lewis Wilson snared themselves an early Christmas present in winning the latest club competition.

Played on Saturday (Dec 22) off the white tees in ideal conditions, they complemented each other well to claim the top prize in the pairs alternate shot on handicap format.

Their nett 61.5 (an impressive 79 off the stick) was too good for the rest of the field, made up of 13 pairs, and included a couple of birdies, one of which was a two.

Barry Rhodes and Peter Watson finished second with 63, while Richard Pearson and Warwick King (63.5) edged out Geoff Halkett and Aaron Kotua on countback for third.

Rod Thomason and Bryan Ramsey (64) and Dean Goodman and Warren Carey (64.5) rounded out the top six.

Terry Hemi and Paul Suan and Jonathan Tuheke and Paul McCrae were others to score twos.

The day ended with a BBQ meal and a few drinks. Thanks to Siew McGougan and her helpers for preparing the meal.
