Tom Weiss leads after the first round of the Stubberfield Cup which was played on Saturday (Feb 16) in hot conditions on a parched course.
The wily veteran totalled 94 in the nett plus putts format to pip Bryce Vincent on countback.
Third with 95 was Brad Crabb, who was making a welcome return to Saturday golf.
Elton Netto claimed fourth with a 97, just ahead of Peter Watson on 98.
Bryan Ramsey was next best with a 102 on countback from Steve Turnell, while Warwick King (103), Pat Melville (104) and visitor Ken Wilson (105) made up the top 10.
Tom Weiss and Peter Watson shared the twos money.
A shortened Stubberfield Cup has been moved to the summer to make more space in the winter programme.
