Paul McCrae showed he still has plenty of game by securing top spot in latest Saturday competition (Feb 2).

Playing off the blue tees, Paul made hay in the sunshine to end with 41 stableford points.

This was one better than the ever-improving Barry Rhodes on 40 points.

Bryan Ramsey pipped Jason Lee for third on countback after they both amassed 38 points.

Aaron Kotua finished fifth on 37 points.

Steve Turnell, Elton Netto and Andy Isle followed on 35 points, with Tom Weiss and Lewis Wilson rounding out the top 10 with 33 points.

Rod Thomason, Jonathan Tuheke and Bryce Vincent were in the money for scoring twos.

A reminder to club members to get their entries in for the Maitai Masters on February 23. The $45 cost covers entry, twos, pitch for cash and a meal.

It's our big fundraiser of the year so please support your club.

If you can't play, we do need volunteers to help out on the day, and club members to set up on the Friday and clean up on the Sunday.

Meanwhile, our golfers finished well down the field in the Rarangi Spectacular played over Jan 26/27. Rob Willems and Mike Gardner were the best on 216, some 14 shots behind the winners Pip Looker and Nick Allen who won in a playoff.

Andy Isle and John Hornby came in with 220, while Keri Kotua and Jonathan Tuheke ended with 223 despite a good first day and Warwick King and Steve Russell totalled 224.

We hope to see a good contingent of Marlborough people at the Maitai Masters.
