Barry Rhodes shone on a day where the scoring was as hot as the weather as he easily won the match of the day, an Irish stableford played off the blue tees.
The 31.8 handicapper took full advantage of the dry conditions to amass an astonishing 96 points by shooting a nett 62.
He finished well clear of the consistent John McGougan who claimed second place with 82 points, four ahead of club captain Warwick King on 78.
Phil Sellers took fourth on countback from Warren Carey and Elton Netto who all totalled 76 points.
Jonathan Tuheke and Steve Russell followed with 72 while Lindsay Brooks (70) and Rod Thomason (68) made up the top 10.
Keri and Aaron Kotua and Maurice Woodhouse won a little cash with twos.
There will be a reduced field next weekend with a contingent heading off the play the Rarangi annual tournament .
* Those wanting to be considered for selection in the Sloan and Old Hickory competitions, which begin early next month, are urged to get their names down in the sheets on the club noticeboards.
