Club results for June 27, 2020

Mike Murphy didn't require the luck of the Irish to win the latest round of the Barkman Trophy on Saturday (June 27).

Instead, the 24-handicapper played some excellent golf in topping the field in the match of the day, which was rather appropriately an Irish stableford played off the white tees. His total of 82 points was comfortably ahead of Dave Blake who amassed 76 points. In third place was Maurice Woodhouse who returned to form with 71 points. He was followed by Jonathan Tuheke who claimed fourth on countback from Aaron Kotua after both finished with 70 points. Individual matchplay champ Paul McCrae continued his good run by finishing sixth on 69 points. Next were the ever-steady Paul Tunnicliff (68), Peter Watson (67) and Ian Hanford (64). Jim McMullan rounded out the top ten with 61 points.

Peter Green scooped the twos pool with the only one of the day.

The second round of the Shootout was also played, with Mike Murphy again taking the honours with a nett 69 followed by Dave Blake (71), Jonathan Tukeke, Aaron Kotua, Paul Tunnicliff and Peter Watson (73 each).
