Club results for October 30, 2021

  • Peter Watson

Sali Mann showed the blokes - including husband Greg - how it's done on Saturday (Oct 30), spreadeagling the field on the way to a dominant win.

Hitting it straight and putting solidly, the 42-handicapper amassed an incredible +12 in the bisque par match of the day - which roughly equated to shooting a net 64 - in romping to victory on a breezy but warm day.

Normally Mike Murphy's excellent +8 would take the honours but it was only good enough for second. Ian Hanford was third with a creditable +4, one ahead of Brendan Doyle.

Paul Tunnicliff was the only other golfer in the small field - reduced because of the Country Clubs tournament at Totaradale - in positive territory in finishing fifth with +1, although Maurice Woodhouse  came in with a 0.

Peter Watson scooped the twos money with the only one of the day at No 11.

Next Saturday (Nov 6) is the annual Maitai Masters tournament and there are still plenty of spots available. Contact Peter for an entry form or get one from the shop.

The following Saturday (Nov 13) is our popular closing day of the season ambrose followed by a BBQ and club prizegiving so invite your family and friends along and get your teams organised.
