Golden Oldies results for 11/1/24

Two Golden Oldies golfers have started the new year like they finished the old one - on top.

Paul McCrae and Noel Shaw shared the spoils with Lewis Wilson as all three played the back nine in +3 to head the field in the par competition on a hot Thursday.

A foursome of Ray Hopgood, Paul Tunnicliff, Ali Mawby and Ivan Guy were next on +2.

They were followed by Brian Clinton (+1) and another group of four - Michael Doyle, Jim McMullan, Richard Pearson and John Shaw - on 0.

There were no twos and the hidden hole was not struck.

Next Thursday (Jan 18) the Golden Oldies play the first round of the Worley Cup, which is a net round off the front nine.
