Golden Oldies results for 11/8/22

Andrew Dean and Paul McCrae share the lead after the first round of the Laurie Ashby Cup played in pleasant conditions on Thursday.

The pair posted 19 stableford points each for the front nine to take the early honours in the three-round competition.

Mick Leggett was tucked just behind in third after coming in with 18 points.

Next were Phil Sellers – boosted by the only two of the day - and Graham Strickett on 17 points, while the trio of Brian Clinton, Bradley Brown and Ray Hopgood followed on 16 points.

In all, 30 golfers teed off.

Next week (August 18) the Golden Oldies play the eighth round of the Worley Trophy, which is a par round off the front nine starting at 10am.
