Golden Oldies results for 12/1/23

It was Tom Weiss's time to shine in the summer sun as he headed a large field to win the match of the day on Thursday (Jan 12).

The canny veteran came in with a +3 score for the back nine to edge the in-form Neil Howard by one to take the honours.

Maurice Woodhouse finished third on +1.

There was a seven-way tie for fourth with Chris Louth, Stuart Hurst, Paul Tunnicliff, Ivan Guy, Terry Kelso, Jack Denton and Gordon Combe finishing on 0.

Sali Mann shrug off an otherwise forgettable round to again claim the hidden hole for the biggest collect of the day, while Paul McCrae bagged the only two of the day.

Next Thursday (Jan 19) is the first round of the Worley Cup, which is a net round off the front nine.
