Golden Oldies results for 13/2/25

Ali Mawby is playing some of her best ever golf.

Fresh from finishing second, third equal and first in her three previous competitions, she kept her hot streak going with another win at the Simplicity Funerals Golden Oldies on Thursday..

In mint conditions, she shot a net 32 for the back nine playing off a 14 handicap to take match of the day honours.

Paul McCrae and Tom Kennedy shared second with net 33s.

There was a five-way tie for fourth between Bryan Ramsey, John Dixon, Ray Hopgood, Andrew Dean and Michael Doyle who all posted 34 on a day of low scoring.

Next were Paul Tunnicliff (35) and Stuart Hurst and Warren Green on 36 apiece.

Ray Hopgood took home a tidy collect for scoring the only two of the day, at No 11.

Next Thursday (Feb 20) the Golden Oldies play the second round of the Worley Cup, which is an Irish stableford off the back nine.
