Golden Oldies results for 13/7/23

Noel Shaw already held an unassailable lead going into the sixth and final round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy on Thursday, but finished in style with another win.

The defending champion's final round net 34 off the back nine underlined his dominance of the event, with his best four counting scores totalling 134 which was streets ahead of the chasing pack.

Lloyd Moyle finished second on what was a sunny day for golf with a 36. Ian Hanford and Andrew Dean shared third on 37. The quartet of Paul McCrae, Ray Hopgood, Chris Louth and Heather Carey were next with 39 each. Richard Pearson and Phil Sellers with 40 apiece rounded out out the top ten. 

Unusually there were no twos, while the hidden hole was not struck.

Next Thursday (July 20) the Golden Oldies play the seventh round of the Worley Cup, which is  stableford round off the back nine.
