Golden Oldies results for 18/12/25

Lloyd Moyle played his Irish stableford round to perfection by parring the last three holes to vault up the leaderboard to victory  on Thursday (Dec 18).

Playing off a 9 handicap for the back nine, his fast finish - which included a par four at the difficult No 18 after sinking a long putt- saw him garner 46 points which no-one could match on a day of good scoring in benign conditions. His round also included a birdie two at No 14.

Club manager Tony Lewis took a welcome break from work to secure second on countback from Golden Oldies convenor Richard Pearson after both posted 43 points. 

John Dixon was fourth on 40, while Peter Watson shot a one-over par 37 for 39 points and fifth.

They were followed by Warren Green (38) and Ray Hopgood and Paul Tunnicliff with 37 each. Dave Huntley and Barry Rhodes made up the top 10 with 36 apiece.

Jack Denton also grabbed a two, on No 11.

The Golden Oldies take a two-week break over the festive season, returning on January 8 with a stableford round off the front nine.
