Phil Sellers recovered his touch in the spring sunshine to win the latest round of the season-long Worley Cup.

Playing off a 9 handicap for the front nine, he enjoyed the conditions to post a sporty net 33 to top a large field.

This was just good enough to get the better of Lloyd Moyle and Trevor Atkinson who finished with 34 apiece.

The duo of Mick Leggett and Michael Doyle were next with 35 each. They were followed by the foursome of Richard Pearson, Jack Denton, Paul McCrae and Andrew Dean who all finished on 36.

Noel Shaw, Ray Hopgood and Chris Louth made up the the top 12 with 37.

While Phil took the plaudits, Paul walked away with most of the money after sinking the only two of the day on No 2, which also happened to be the hidden hole.

Next week (Oct 26) the Golden Oldies play the first round of the Langley Trophy, which is a par round off the front nine.
