Golden Oldies results for 31/1/24

The scoring matched the hot weather on Thursday as the Golden Oldies burned up the golf course where the ball is starting to run like a rabbit.

Heather Carey and Ivan Guy shared top honours after both carded eye-catching +5 for the back nine in the match of the day.

Andrew Dean and Ali Mawby tied for third with +4, while Noel Shaw finished fifth on +3.

But it was Michael Doyle – who finished next with Lloyd Moyle on +2 – who had the biggest collect after a birdie two on No 14 which also won him the hidden hole.

Lloyd also had a two on No 11.

Steve Turnell, Ray Hopgood, Paul McCrae and Ian Hanford also ended in positive territory with +1.

Next Thursday (Feb 6) the Golden Oldies will play a stableford of the back nine.
