Golden Oldies results for 7/3/24

Tom Kennedy was king for a day as he capped off a fine front nine with a winning score of +3 in the Golden Oldies par competition on another sun-blessed Thursday.

With the field reduced with our Old Hickory team away playing in Takaka, Tom took full advantage.

Golden Oldies convenor Noel Shaw chased him all the way but fell just short with a +2 to settle for second.

There was a four-way tie for fourth on +1 between the ever-present Paul McCrae, John Dixon, Andrew Dean and Chris Louth, while Ray Hopgood and Steve Dawson finished on 0.

There were no twos and the hidden hole was not struck.

Next week (March 14) the Golden Oldies play the second round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy, which is a net round off the back nine.
