Golden Oldies results for 9/7/26

There was a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard for the latest round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy played in winter sunshine on Thursday (July 9).

Richard Pearson, Paul Tunnicliff, Bryan Ramsey and Andrew Dean all recorded net 39 for the back nine, a good score given the heavy conditions after the recent wet spell.

They were closely followed by the trio of Chris Louth, Barry Rhodes and Jack Denton who came home in 40, with Jack winning a collect for claiming the hidden hole.

Next were Phil Sellers, Mark Sherlaw, Peter van den Bogaardt, Tom Kennedy and Lloyd Moyle on 41, with Phil bagging the only two of the day, a chip-in on No 14.

It was good to see former club president Ian Hanford back in action after a health issue.

Next week (July 16) the Golden Oldies play another round of the Worley Trophy, which will be a par round off the front nine.
