There was a four-way tie at the top of the latest Golden Oldies competition.

Michael Doyle - who has been in good form - had to share the honours on Thursday with Barry Mitchell, Grant Fergusson and Richard Pearson after all came home with 20 stableford points for the back nine.

On another prime autumn day, the threesome of Ivan Guy, Brian Clinton and Paul Tunnicliff finished just one point back in joint second on 19 points.

Bryan Ramsey was all alone on 18 points, while Rangi Kohe and Jack Denton made up the top ten with 17 points apiece.

Paul Tunnicliff was the only one in the 26-strong field to record a two, earning himself a healthy collect.

Next Thursday (April 14) is the third round of the Polly Pearce, which is a net round off the front nine.
