There was a tie at the top after Thursday's match of the day, a par round off the back nine.
Tom Weiss and the improving Chris Lough shared the spoils in heavy and overcast conditions after both recorded scores of 0.
The trio of Grant Fergusson, Brian Clinton and Paul McCrae finished joint second on -1, while the quartet of Paul Tunnicliff, Graham Strickett, Bradley Brown and Lloyd Moyle were next on -2.
Warren Green and Ray Hopgood divvyed up the twos money between them. The hidden hole was not struck.
Next Thursday (July 14) the Golden Oldies play the sixth and final round of the Polly Pearce Memorial Trophy, which is a net round off the back nine.
