Jacks adds to his aces

Jack Denton has always been a straight shooter.

And the 75-year-old Waahi Taakaro veteran has proved it yet again with his third hole-in-one.

Playing the 155m No 11 off the blue tees during the Saturday competition on September 30, Jack – who still plays off a very respectable 21 handicap - struck the perfect 3 wood, which bounced just before the green before arrowing into the hole.

The ace enabled him to finish second in the match of the day with a net 71.

His previous two hole-in-ones came within a week of each other 16 years ago when he was a member at Kaikoura Golf Club.

Congratulation Jack on your latest deed, which makes those of us still dreaming of an ace just shake our heads in wonder.
