Talk about keeping it in the family.

Ian Hanford (Waahi Taakaro) and his brother-in-law Andrew Fenemor (Motueka) dominated our mixed vets 18-hole tournament on a glorious winter Wednesday (Aug 14).

In the end it was Ian who won bragging rights with 36 stableford points off the white tees, one more than Andrew on 35.

Waahi Taakaro vice president Grant Fergusson pipped president Paul Tunnicliff on countback for third after both posted 33 points.

They were followed by Graham Strickett (Waahi Taakaro), Dave Duggan (Nelson) and Phil Sellers (Waahi Taakaro) on 32 points each.

Jack Denton finished alone in eighth on 31, while Nelson pair Stephen Graham and John Dow completed the top ten with 30 points. Korrin Black (Nelson was the best of the 18-hole women with 25 points.

Joh Dow, Paul Tunnicliff and Bryan Ramsey (Waahi Taakaro) shared the twos spoils with one apiece.,

Ali Mawby was the best of the 9-holers, with an excellent 21 stableford points, one ahead of Paul McCrae (Waahi Taakaro) on 20. Local members Andrew Dean and Richard Pearson were next on 19.

Thanks to those who made the effort to enter our only mixed vets event of the year.
