Old Hickory team looking to bounce back

After a less than memorable trip to Takaka earlier this month (April 4), our Old Hickory team will be keen to atone in the next round played at Motueka on May 2.

After our home win last month we came down to earth with a crash over in Golden Bay, finishing fifth out of six teams.

Unsurprisingly the home team triumphed on the tricky greens, coasting to a 13-point win with 147 stableford points.

Greenacres headed the chasing pack with 134 points followed by Tasman (133), Motueka  (128) and Waahi Taakaro (125).

Nelson were deserving winners of the popgun after collecting just 111 points.

Only Jack Denton  of our team with 37 points played to their handicaps. Next best was Elton Netto on 33 points. Phil Sellers (28), Tom Kennedy (27), Denis Blomquist (24) and Rob Shand (22) all found the going tough.
